GOLFERS are being invited to take to the fairway to raise cash for Martin House children's hospice.

The charity is hosting its annual Golf Day at Wetherby Golf Club on Friday, June 15 when teams of four will be offered refreshments around the course, an evening meal and presentation after everyone has completed their rounds, along with a raffle and auction.

It costs £250 per team, with opportunities to sponsor a hole and the longest drive.

Jason Costello, corporate and events fundraising manager at Martin House, said: “Our golf day is one of our most popular events, and goes from strength to strength each year. It always fills up quickly, so book now to make sure you don’t miss out.

“It’s a great team building day for firms, or just a great day out for friends, and the money raised goes to support families from this area who need the care we provide.”

Martin House cares for children and young people with life-limiting conditions from across West, North and East Yorkshire, providing services including respite stays, emergency care and end of life care. It also helps their families, with support groups and bereavement care.

This year’s Golf Day is again sponsored by Leeds Audi, which ensures the money raised goes directly to supporting families.
