A TWO-day kite festival is returning to Sewerby Fields, Bridlington, next month.
The event is on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20 and will see displays from international experts as well as fairground rides and a food village.
Displays will include some of the world’s largest inflatable kites, teams of two and four line kite flyers performing sequences to music, a display of unique Oriental kites and Indian fighter kites. There will also be a chance for visitors, especially children, to have a go at flying some of the kites, while children can also bring their favourite soft toy for a "parachute jump".
The festival is free and will be open 10am-5pm on both days.
It is hosted by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Active Coast programme and the Northern Kite Group and sponsored by St Stephen’s Shopping Centre in Hull. For details visit visit www.activecoast.org
