THE Coral's new album, Move Through The Dawn, will arrive on August 17 on Ignition Records, preceded by the single Sweet Release, out now.
Look out for the video, directed by James Slater, featuring a synchronised routine by a boiler-suited, paper bag hat-wearing dance troupe as the Hoylake band continue their tradition for wryly amusing promos.
Move Through The Dawn was recorded at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool and produced by The Coral and Rich Turvey as the Merseysiders' follow-up to 2016’s Distance Inbetween, their first album after a five-year hiatus.
The track-listing will be Eyes Like Pearls; Reaching Out For A Friend; Sweet Release; She's A Runaway; Strangers In The Hollow; Love Or Solution; Eyes Of The Moon; Undercover Of The Night; Outside My Window; Stormbreaker or After The Fair.
Keyboardist Nick Power has written a new book, Into The Void, to be published by Ebacc concurrently with the new album. His third work, it offers an insightful, amusing and evocative first-hand account of the recording, release and touring of Distance Inbetween.
The Coral will support Manic Street Preachers on their upcoming arena tour, including Leeds First Direct Arena in May 2, and will play the Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield, on August 19.
