A COMMUNITY cafe in Selby is holding an open day specifically for professional services and agencies who it could put people in contact with if they need help.

The Chatterbox Community Cafe, in Finkle Street, is holding the event on April 26, from 11.30am to 3pm, and it will be closed to the general public on that day.

The open day is an opportunity for professional services and agencies to see what the cafe has to offer to themselves and the community.

Rob Matthews, who runs the cafe, said: “We are hoping to be able to help people along the path and journeys in their lives through the difficult times that they may be facing.”

Those who would like to attend are asked to bring identification of the organisation that they represent.

Refreshments will be provided.
