A YORK man has been released on bail after being arrested for alleged drug and weapon offences in York.
Officers sped to Walmgate in three police vans at 9.30am on Thursday, where a 37-year-old York man was arrested and searched in the street before being transported from the scene.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs, possessing a razor blade in a public place, and affray."
The man was taken into custody but later released on police bail. The arrest was not connected to an earlier incident in which a man was stabbed in Walmgate, police said.
