YORK and North Yorkshire are experiencing the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures hitting 25C by 3pm at RAF Linton on Ouse.
But forecasters say tomorrow will be about five degrees cooler at 19C, although more wall-to-wall sunshine is expected.
Saturday should see some further sunshine, although with a growing risk of heavy, thundery showers as the day goes on and temperatures slipping to 18C.
Sunday is likely to see more cloud and possible showers, with temperatures falling again to 15C, and next week will them down to 13 or 14C with some sunshine and cloud.
