Former Blue Peter gardener visits York school
FORMER Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins has visited green-fingered children at a York school.
The gardener, who was on the children's TV programme between 2004 and 2013, took part in an assembly at St Lawrence's CE Primary School in Heslington Road.
He then had a gardening session with some of the pupils.
Chris, who has also appeared on programmes including The Chelsea Flower Show and Gardeners’ World, is a regular visitor to schools, taking part in gardening workshops and undertaking work through his affiliation with charities such as the Royal Horticultural Society.
