A SEX offender who went on the run instead of attending court is now behind bars.
David Graham Laycock is now serving six and a half years in jail and will have an extra year on licence on his release.
The 43-year-old of Parliament Street, Burnley, was arrested in his native Halifax on a warrant issued at York Crown Court in February 2018.
He had failed to attend court to face justice on two charges of indecent assault on a nine-year-old girl many years ago in Filey.
He was put on the sex offenders register for life and issued with a sexual harm prevention order.
