Serious crash on A19 between lorry and mobility scooter
THE A19 between York and Selby near Riccall has reopened after a serious crash involving a lorry and a mobility scooter closed it for several hours this afternoon.
North Yorkshire Police traffic officers tweeted early this evening that the road had now reopened.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed that an elderly man had been taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance.
No other casualties were reported.
