TOP York landmarks will be plunged into darkness this weekend, in support of Earth Hour.
On Saturday the lights will go out at York Minster's Central Tower, York Bar Walls, York Mansion House, City of York Council’s West Offices and Cliffords Tower, and people are being asked to make their own pledge to turn off the lights for an hour.
Environment chief Cllr Andrew Waller said: "Earth Hour is a global initiative which has helped to raise awareness of climate change and what individuals and organisations can do to help tackle it. I’m delighted that York is once again showing its support."
