Snow is forecast
THE company providing power to 3.9 million homes and businesses across the region says it has enlisted extra engineers to carry out any urgent repairs needed ahead of bad weather this weekend.
Northern Powergrid said it has put measures in place following forecasts of snow, ice and strong winds. Problems can be reported by calling 105 or visiting northernpowergrid.com.
