EMMERDALE soap stars John Middleton, Mark Charnock and Charlotte Bellamy met up at the Grand Opera House, York, at Thursday’s performance of Strangers On A Train.
Harrogate actor Middleton is playing Iowa private detective Arthur Gerard in the Ambassador Theatre Group tour of Craig Warner’s adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s 1950 psychological thriller in his first stage role since leaving Emmerdale after more than 20 years as vicar Ashley Thomas.
Bellamy starred opposite Middleton as his wife Laurel in the Yorkshire soap, climaxing with Ashley’s early-onset dementia storyline, while Charnock has the long-running role of Marlon Dingle.
