POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a crash in Main Street, Seamer, Scarborough.

The crash, between a silver Toyota Prius, black Renault Clio and a grey Ford Focus, took place outside Proudfoots on Monday afternoon.

A police spokesman said the Toyota and Renault were travelling towards the A64 and the Ford was stationary outside the supermarket, and officers believed "the Toyota has traveled from the the Irton area in an erratic manner and may have collided with various items of street furniture prior to hitting the Renault".

Occupants of the Toyota and Renault were taken to Scarborough Hospital but were not believed to be seriously injured.
