A GROUP of hardy volunteers braved the extreme weather to complete three community projects.
Glen Allotments in Sixth Avenue, Tang Hall, were burgled in October, leaving the school and community group which uses them with nowhere to go. The area is run by Mac Mitchell, a former landscape gardener, and he was helped by volunteers from Portakabin and Elvington Plant Hire, who helped put the site back in shape after the community helped raise money.
The team installed plots for Applefields School, a memorial garden and a vegetable patch for Tang Hall Community Centre.
