A YORK pupil had to be taken to hospital following an incident in school.
A Year 11 student from Huntington School was hospitalised on Thursday, but details around the incident are still being investigated.
John Tomsett, head teacher at the school, said the student “suffered a reaction to an unknown substance we believe was brought into the school”.
Mr Tomsett said: “He was taken to A&E as a precaution and has thankfully since made a full recovery.
“We take the health and safety of our young people very seriously and are investigating the incident.”
