TREASURER’S House will throw open its doors on March 1 with a packed programme of events planned for spring.

The National Trust attraction in Minster Yard has been closed for winter refurbishment work.

Visitor operations manager Anne Inskip said guests can book in for new guided experiences, with special tours around the house to learn more about its history.

She added that people will also be able to visit the attic and there will be professional guides sharing some of the building’s famous ghost stories with guests.

A number of events will take place at the property to celebrate Easter, including games in the garden and a Cadbury chocolate egg hunt for children in the house.

Anne said: “The gardens are looking really nice and the snowdrops are out.”
