FIVE fire engines were called out to tackle a fire in a block of flats in York city centre this afternoon.
North Yorkshire fire service received a report of a fire in or close to a boiler in a building in Margaret Street, off Walmgate, at about 12.50pm.
Firefighters found a small fire to an immersion heater on the second floor.
They used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to put it out.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "No injuries were reported."
