A "LARGE quantity" of fuel has been stolen from two lorries that were parked in a lay-by in Selby.
North Yorkshire Police said both thefts happened on the A63 between Selby swing bridge and the A1041/A63 roundabout between about 7pm yesterday and 5.30am today.
A spokesman for the force explained: "A large quantity of fuel was stolen from two lorries parked in the lay-by at the side of the A63.
"It is believed the offenders accessed the lay-by by vehicle through an adjacent field from Thief Lane, Selby. It is believed that offenders have crossed the A63 between lay-bys to target vehicles."
