HUNDREDS of people visited York Mosque and Islamic centre today when it opened its doors for national Visit My Mosque day.
The event was a chance for York residents to go along to the building in Bull Lane, off Lawrence Street, see inside and ask questions, with children’s activities and refreshments also laid on.
Imam Abid Salik said there were also exhibitions about the charity work it is involved in in York, including helping the foodbank and Refugee Action.
