TOBACCO was stolen from a York shop when it was broken into.
North Yorkshire Police were called just after 1am on Tuesday following the raid at Costcutter in Wains Grove, Dringhouses.
A short time later, at around 4.30am, police officers arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of burglary.
He has been released while under investigation.
Anyone with any information about the burglary is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room, quoting incident number 12180025361.
