YORK Mosque and Islamic centre is opening its doors this weekend for national Visit My Mosque day.
The event - which takes place on Sunday, February 18, from 2pm - is a chance for York residents to go along to the mosque on Bull Lane, see inside and ask questions.
There will also be children’s activities and refreshments.
The open day will also give the mosque the opportunity to showcase the charity work it does in York, including helping Refugee Action, the Salvation Army and the foodbank. Mosque spokesperson Mebs Surve said: “We’ve always been engaged within the community and have a reputation for our open-door policy.”
