PEOPLE have a chance this week to vote for their favourite North Yorkshire reservoir in a contest organised by Yorkshire Water.
Spokesman Tom Underwood said millions of people visited its 130 reservoirs across the region every year to run, walk their dog, picnic or just enjoy the peace and tranquillity.
“Lots of people have their favourite local reservoir that they visit and we want to now find out, definitively, which can boast as being the most popular in the county,” he said.
“The winning reservoir will have a fantastic life sized picture frame, designed by a local artist, installed at the water edge to frame the landscape and make for a memorable photo.”
He said the contest involves weekly local votes before a grand final vote between February 22 and March 3, with North Yorkshire’s vote taking place this week until 5pm on Friday.
He added that people could vote by going to the company’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/yorkshirewater/videos/787882824739862/ which had stunning drone footage of some of the best.
