FIREFIGHTERS had to be called out when a chimney had too much soot in it.
The soot started a fire in the chimney in Belle Vue Street off Heslington Road, central York early on Friday evening.
Firefighters from Acomb used an inspection panel to get access into the chimney and used specialist small equipment including a thermal camera to put the blaze out, remove the cause and ensure the house was safe.
