A NEW mobile outreach service which will offer advice, support and guidance to people affected by sight or hearing loss has been officially launched.
The Wilberforce Trust’s vehicle will act as an extension of its Yorsensory Hub, based at its Huntington headquarters, which aims to empower people living with sight or hearing loss to live independent lives by developing new skills and confidence.
The Lord Mayor of York, Cllr Barbara Boyce, who said she was "honoured" to cut a ribbon to launch the service, said: “This will be a great additional service that will be able to go directly into different and diverse communities, providing first class advice to people affected by hearing and sight loss. It will benefit a lot of residents.”
