YORK'S Bishopthorpe Road has been named one of the country's 'hippest' neighbourhoods by a travel website.
The street has been ranked 12th among Britain's 'hippest hangouts' by Travel Supermarket.
The ranking gives neighbourhoods scores on "hip culture outpost" and "creative capital" - both of which were high scorers for Bishopthorpe Road - as well as hotel room costs and value for travellers. The York street ranked 12th in the UK, whilst Hull Old Town ranked eighth.
