Fire crews were called to a house fire
ACOMB and York crews attended a fire to the exterior of a detached house in Hutton Close, Nether Poppleton, just after 8pm on Saturday evening.
Roof tiles were removed to gain access to the fire before it was completely extinguished by using hose reel jets.
The fire was thought to have spread to the house after hot ashes set fire to a nearby bin.
No one was reported to be injured during the fire.
