MOTORISTS are being warned of potential delays and disruption caused by new roadworks in York.
Essential utility works on the A19 at Germany Beck, Fulford, requiring temporary traffic signals and single lane traffic, will start on Monday and last for four days.
Piccadilly will be closed to all southbound traffic from Monday until Friday, February 9, during utility works.
Works are also continuing at Lendal Arch to upgrade signals and improve footpaths in the area.
City of York Council said it was urging residents to plan ahead, allow more time for journeys on these routes and and consider alternatives.
