FIREFIGHTERS helped a driver after his van became stuck in flood water in North Yorkshire this morning
Fire crews from Ripon, Richmond and Boroughbridge were called to the incident in Boroughbridge Road, Bishop Monkton, near Boroughbridge, at about 5.55am.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire fire service said water began to enter the van and was filling the footwell on the drivers' side.
Crews pushed the van to safety out of the water, allowing the driver to get out safely, the spokesman added.
