A £1.9 MILLION improvement scheme for the A166 in East Yorkshire will start next month.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council, which apologised for any inconvenience, says resurfacing works will begin in Stamford Bridge on February 5 and continue for five weeks.
The project will be carried out by Cemex UK. Work will be carried out from Monday to Friday, between 7pm and midnight when traffic flows are lighter, under convoy traffic control. Work will then begin in Viking Road to replace the old concrete road and improve footways and kerbing.
A larger scheme of improvements is also planned for the A166, including resurfacing at Garrowby Hill and west of Fridaythorpe.
