FRACKING protesters took part in a slow walk at Kirby Misperton on Tuesday.

Three anti-fracking campaigners walked in front of tankers as they travelled to the site down Habton Road, between 9.30am and 9.50am, delaying the two-vehicle convoy by 20 minutes.

Local traffic was able to pass freely, and the protest was overseen by North Yorkshire Police.

Superintendent Alisdair Dey said: "We support and protect people engaged in safe, reasonable and peaceful protest at Kirby Misperton. That means balancing the needs and wishes of everyone involved, including protesters, businesses and local residents."
