MORRISON'S stores in York now have a community defibrillator for medical emergencies that can be used by trained store staff and people in the community.
Both the Foss Islands and the Acomb stores now have a first aid team , ready to save lives after receiving training sessions from St John Ambulance.
The defibrillators were installed following a partnership between the Morrisons Foundation and St John Ambulance.
As part of the partnership, both stores’ first aid teams were given a bespoke familiarisation sessions covering resuscitation (CPR) tips and offered a demonstration of the defibrillator and advice on maintaining the vital device.
