GIRLGUIDING units in York are in need of new leaders and volunteers.
Units in Strensall and other areas in and around York are seeking leaders and helpers, including the 1st Strensall Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and 2nd Strensall Brownies.
Becky Cheeseman, unit leader at 1st Strensall Brownies, said: “Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK. If you’re looking to work with young people, gain voluntary experience or develop skills from first aid to fundraising, it’s time to get involved.”
A recruitment event is to be held on January 27, from 10.30am to 12.15pm, at Strensall Village Hall for anyone who is interested in volunteering.
