AN 88-YEAR-OLD cyclist has been seriously injured after being knocked from his bike by a car whose driver failed to stop.
The hit-and-run accident in Bridlington left the cyclist with potentially life-threatening injuries, said Humberside Police.
A spokesman said the force was appealing for witnesses who might know something which could help officers find the driver.
He said the collision at happened at about 11.15am on Tuesday in Queensgate at the roundabout junction with St Chad Road.
"Witnesses reported the car to be a red Citroen Picasso but we have not confirmed that this is the case and we are appealing for anyone who may have information that would help us identify the vehicle and the driver to call us." he said.
"If you are able to help please call us on 101, quoting log 171 16/01/18."
