A HORSE who struck fame when he appeared on TV has visited residents at a York care home.

Monet, an American miniature horse, went in to RMBI Home Connaught Court in Fulford, with his owner, Katy, of KL Pony Therapy, who provide pony visits to care homes, events and parties.

Activities coordinator Stephanie said he put a smile on many residents’ faces, adding:”Meeting animals is a great way for our residents to grow more confidence and to experience something a little bit different.”

She added that Monet became famous on ITV’s ‘This Morning show with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, when he ‘made a bit of a mess on the studio floor.’
