STUDENTS were invited to experience a taste of sixth form life at Norton College during a Take Over Day.
The event has been a tradition at Norton College for many years and is chance for those in their final year of GCSEs, in the main school to find out more about studying in Years 12 and 13.
During the day, students could attend lessons from the traditional subjects such as science and
maths to the expressive arts, including drama and musical theatre, to the more physical options, including BTEC
sport.
Gemma MacDonald, head of sixth form, said: “To encourage the students to keep all options open at this critical point on their school journey, we want them to know that sixth form – and all it has to offer, particularly at Norton College with its rich and varied subject choices – might be a pathway for them that could lead to a fulfilling and rewarding career.”
