WE sent letters out to thousands of people on our database in early November last year asking if we can continue to communicate with them and by which methods.

This is due to changing data protection regulations coming into play later this year.

In the letter we gave a deadline for filling the form in of January 6, 2018. The date has crept up on us all as it’s this weekend.

We’d love to stay in touch with our fantastic supporters about news, campaigns and events and we’ve tried to make it as easy for everyone as possible.

If you haven’t already, please go to our website, scroll down on the home page to stleonardshospice.

org.uk/contact-updates and fill in the short form so we can stay in touch with you.

Even if you hear from us currently this will stop next week if you haven’t filled the form in.

If you’d prefer to let us know your preferences by a different means, please call the fundraising office on 01904 777777.

The changes in regulation will have a huge impact, particularly on smaller charities like ourselves that rely heavily on local support.

We are lucky to have a fantastic relationship with our community and we’d like to stay in touch with them as we build a future for St Leonard’s.

Thank you and a happy new year.

Dawn Clements, Director of fundraising, St Leonard’s Hospice, Tadcaster Road, York
