A NURSE, health visitor and senior manager with more than 25 years’ experience has been appointed as NHS Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust’s director of nursing and professions.

Cathy Woffendin - currently deputy director of nursing, children’s and specialist services at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust (BDCFT) will join LYPFT in March.

She moved in to management in 2005 and has worked in a variety of management roles across community and mental health services. She has also been a staff governor and was appointed in 2015 when BDCFT became a Foundation Trust.

“ I’m really thrilled to be joining Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust,” she said.

“I’m passionate about improving care for patients and their families and I know that I’m joining a trust which has great staff and is ambitious about delivering patient-centred care.”
