IT is true that we no longer regularly see a Bobby as in the days of Dixon of Dock Green (The Press, December 28) but we do have CCTV operating in many places in towns and cities. Technology is coming into play here.
I have also seen Army and police working together. Is this the way to go? We also have Neighbourhood Watch groups, Street Angels and street marshals.
The police cannot be around every corner. They have so much to do and recent terrorist attacks prove this.
