CUSTOMERS and staff of Browns department stores have raised thousands of pounds for Martin House Hospice at Boston Spa.
Browns, whose founding store and head office is in York, together with their three branches in Helmsley, Beverley and Gainsborough hosted a special shopping event with a luxury raffle for the children’s hospice which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Loyal customers enjoyed festive shopping, live music, complimentary refreshments and a chance to purchase tickets to the raffle which included a set of diamond earrings worth £400 and a signed Lulu Guinness handbag.
Ticket sales raised £3,481, and Browns contributed £519, making a total of £4,000 for the charity.
