A BUSINESSMAN is seeking to open a strip club near the tomb of Richard III.
Leicester city councillor Patrick Kitterick has lodged objections to the application by Jagdeep Narll.
He says the proposed venue it is too close to the king’s resting place in Leicester Cathedral and several nurseries.
The city’s licensing committee was due to consider the matter on December 19 but has postponed the hearing.
Campaigners in York fought to bring the king's remians to York Minster but lost out to Leicester in acrimonious circumstances.
