A CHRISTMAS bonanza has raised more than £1,500 for St Peter’s Church in Norton.
The event included a festive fair, carol singing, grotto and art exhibition, along with a craft competition.
The Rev Rachel Hirst said: “The bonanza went very well and the two competitions also went well and we had a good number of entrants."
Judges were Linda McCarthy, chairman of governors at Norton Primary School, and Priscilla Oakes of the Deli in Malton.
Winners of the craft competition were: Audrey Watts, Ann Scurry, Ann Gordon. Under 16s: Jessica and Sophie Hasnan, Anna and Kate Barker and Lily Tolhurst. Winners of the mince pie bake off were: Maureen Farndale, Richard Charvill, Danielle Collins. Under 16s: Grace Gunter.
