Christmas lunch
ELDERLY people who would otherwise be alone during the festive period have been invited to a care home to enjoy a Christmas lunch.
For nearly a decade, Chris Mitchell, owner of The Hall Residential Care Home in Thornton-le-Dale, has invited every single person over 65 in the village to join him for a free five-course Christmas lunch party and live music.
He said: “Once again, we’re fully booked and we believe the village has grown to look forward to these events each year.”
The lunches will be at The Hall from December 11 to 13.
