A MAN climbed into his former partner’s flat at night through a window and hit her with a mobile phone.
Rhys Moyser, 22, of Dringthorpe Road, York, pleaded guilty to assaulting his ex-partner by recklessly throwing the phone towards her.
His solicitor advocate Neal Kutte told York Crown Court he had spent several weeks under curfew on bail since his arrest on more serious charges.
His girlfriend had now admitted that she had made up some of her allegations against Moyser.
Moyser was handed a one year conditional discharge and was also barred from contacting his former partner or going into her home street for 12 months.
Rachel Landin, prosecuting, said the couple argued after Moyser arrived on September 18 and demanded to look through her phone records.
She gave him it and he threw it at her.
