A HOUSING developer has held a switch on ceremony for a crane at its Pocklington development.
McCarthy and Stone, the housebuilder behind the Rogerson Court Retirement Living development, attached lights to ‘Craney McCrane Face’ after it become a star on social media and hosted a ceremony attended by Geoff Sheasby, Pocklington Town Crier.
Laura Wigglesworth, senior marketing executive, said: “We wanted to spread the Christmas cheer to Pocklington by adding lights to ‘Craney McCrane Face’. The crane has become somewhat of a local celebrity in the area having graced the Pocklington skyline for several months, so we thought it would be great to have a little fun with the Pocklington community and thank them for all their support.
The Rogerson Court development will consist of 34 one and two bedroom apartments, alongside beautiful landscaped gardens and convenient on-site parking.
