A CHIMNEY fire was tackled by firefighters on Tuesday.
The 999 teams from Easingwold and Acomb were called to a detached property in Flawith Village Street, in Easingwold, at 10.30am.
Firefighters extinguished the fire by working from the hearth and the roof of the property. They used 10.5m ladder, chimney rods, one hose reel to extinguish the fire and fitted smoke alarms.
