STUDENTS from three York dance schools are putting on a joint Christmas show on Sunday to raise money for York children's charity SNAPPY (Special Needs Activities and Play Provision for York).

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree' will be performed this Sunday at 3pm at Queen Margaret's school, Escrick. by members of the Northern Dance Academy, Katie Ventress School of Dance and Jazzy J's Dance Academy.

The performance involves children from the age of five through to adults and includes a range of styles including ballet, musical theatre and contemporary dance.

Tickets cost £8 and can be purchased at jazzyjtickets@gmail.com

Director of Northern Dance Academy, Sarah Dickinson, said: " Although its been a busy term for all three schools we wanted to give some of our students the opportunity to perform whilst being able to support a local charity that provides activities to children with a range of disabilities.

"It's been a fabulous experience being able to collaborate with other dance teachers in York and bring together the skills of a wide range of students."
