ACOMB'S Christmas festival takes place this Saturday, November 25, with festive celebrations all day and the lights switch-on in the afternoon.
Celebrations start at 9am, and there will be a street market, indoor craft market, community cafe Christmas teas, "yarn bombing" and a Santa train.
There is also a festive trail to follow, with chance to win a Christmas hamper.
Minster FM will be live on Front Street from 2pm, and the Christmas lights will be switched on at 4pm.
There is also a grand raffle to support the Christmas lights fund. Tickets cost £1 each and are available from Floral Elegance on Front Street. First prize is £100 cash.
