Charlie Turner, of Sutton Upon Derwent, has won the Men’s U12 division of the British Indoor Freestyle Championship
A YOUNG snowboarder has won a British championship.
Charlie Turner, 10, of Sutton Upon Derwent, picked up the Men’s U12 division of the British Indoor Freestyle Championship, having already placed second in the English SBX (Snowboardcross) Championships.
He has been selected for the GBX Snowboardcross Squad - a feeder group which could ultimately see Charlie competing on behalf of Team GB.
Charlie trains at Snozone at Xscape in Castleford at least twice a week.
