SCARBOROUGH RUFC has become the recipient of one of the first grants awarded by a new Yorkshire charitable foundation.
The Age Partnership Charitable Foundation, which began as a concept almost two years ago, provided the club with £1,500 for a bespoke tour kit for a team of 30 girls aged between 11 and 18 to wear on a trip to Belfast to see the Women’s Rugby World Cup in August.
Christopher Neave is the chairman of the foundation.
Mr Neave said: “Our vision for the foundation is to create a source of funding for local charities, community projects, voluntary groups and other good causes that are making a positive difference here in Yorkshire.”
