POLICE are searching for an 18-year-old man who is wanted for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.

Lewis Matthew Berkley, from York, was the first person in the city to be made subject to a CBO, following aggressive and abusive behaviour and intimidating the community.

Under the court order, which was issued last year and runs until 2019, Berkley is not allowed to interact with four named people, and banned from trying to disguise his identity with a hood when in public.

North Yorkshire Police said Berkley has recently been released from prison for burglary and theft offences, and is since understood to have breached his CBO on numerous occasions "by committing a number of offences".

He is white with mousey hair and brown eyes, around 5ft 10ins tall, and officers believe he may be in the Clifton or Tang Hall areas.

Searches are ongoing, but police want to hear from anyone who knows Berkley’s whereabouts or has any other information that could help.

Anyone with information should phone North Yorkshire Police on 101, or 999 if the sighting is immediate.
